ABOUT THE ARTIST

Marc Goodwin is a London-born architectural photographer, writer, and teacher whose work has been published frequently in the architectural press as well as in seven architecture books. His doctoral thesis, “Architecture’s Discursive Space: Photography,” sums up his artistic approach. In his view, the rich diversity of architectural practices can be better represented by depicting the atmosphere of a building or interior instead of the standard presentation of objects seen in conventional architectural photography. Recently, he completed a well-received series documenting 12 architecture studios around the world, from Paris to Panama City, which explored where architects work.
